Pundits concern over Edouard Mendy allayed as he keeps his tenth clean sheet in 16 appearances for Chelsea in 3-0 win over West Ham...matching the same number made by Kepa Arrizabalaga in 45 matches since last season

Edouard Mendy reached an impressive milestone of his tenth clean sheet in just his 16th game since his summer move to Chelsea.

The 28-year-old had a relatively quiet game during their 3-0 win over West Ham, but the impressive statistic is a very telling figure of the improvement Chelsea have made since he signed from Rennes.

Mendy was signed during the summer transfer window for £22m, as Frank Lampard looked to sort out their issue in the goalkeeping position.

Kepa Arrizabalaga was the regular starter for Chelsea before Mendy, however he struggled during Lampard's first season back at Stamford Bridge as manager.
