Chelsea have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Bayer Leverkusen's Kai Havertz should they not finish in the Premier League's top four this season.

The Blues have been heavily linked with a move for the 21-year-old attacking midfielder, who has scored 17 goals and provided nine assists in 43 matches this season.

According to BBC Sport, Havertz's next club does not have to be in the Champions League.
