I know what you’re thinking. The same guy that a mere 24 hours ago wrote a piece titled “Fire everybody” that may or may not have served as the catalyst for the firing of Ron Rivera is now writing a piece to thank him for his time as coach of the team. What a business right? Well, I think we have many reasons to be thankful for him, and there is a very big difference between seeing the need for a personnel change and literally celebrating the fact that he is gone.
I can celebrate the fact that David Tepper recognized that the team had grown stagnant, and made the uncomfortable decision to move on from a person who had, at one point, helped pull the Carolina Panthers out of a difficult time in franchise history and coach them back to relevance.
