While the Carolina Panthers’ offense continues to struggle, it is the defense that is surprising some with their exceptional play. According to Randall Liu, the Panthers accomplished a feat not done since 1981 by holding their first two opponents to one field goal each.

While the team does have some new additions to the defense like Captain Munnerlyn, Julius Peppers and Mike Adams, the core of this defense remains unchanged from a season ago.
