The Carolina Hurricanes are in the midst of a battle with the Calgary Flames. Yet, the newly acquired forward Justin Williams is going through his second stint with the Canes. Williams scored his first goal of the season with Carolina, stretching the lead to two goals against the Flames.
Jeff Skinner notched the first goal of the night for the Canes. Williams extended the lead on Carolina’s fifth powerplay of the night. It was a huge goal for the Canes also because it was the first time that they scored with the man up unit all game.
Williams now owns the sole right for team leader in points for the Canes.
