Having now gone 1-3-1 since taking over for Mike Smith, Rittich’s status as a sure bet to at least give the Flames a rock solid chance in net every night seems like a coin flip. His GAA has ballooned to 3.03 on the year, and it seems like every second night he’s completely shook everytime he takes the ice. The Flames lucked out making it as far into the year as they have before Mike Smith’s infamous groin injuries came back to haunt him, especially considering the mass amount of shots he faced in the mass amount of starts he got.
