CANTON, Ohio – Bill Polian delivered the spoiler alert Friday about one of the most important parts of the speech he’ll be giving Saturday night at Tom Benson Stadium.
He plans to acknowledge that Jim Kelly, whom he is about to officially join in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, is going to be sitting behind him on the giant stage and that Peyton Manning, who eventually will have a bronze bust in the place, is going to be sitting in front of him in the audience.
“That’s the short version of the speech,” Polian said with a laugh when asked about the two most defining players in a 24-year career as an NFL executive that culminates with Saturday night’s induction.
