One of the top focuses for the Buffalo Bills front office was clearly adding talent to the defensive line. While they lost Jordan Phillips and Shaq Lawson in free agency, they replaced them with Quinton Jefferson, Vernon Butler and Mario Addison. They also used their second round pick on defensive end A.J. Epenesa.
It was surprising that the Bills added so many players on the defensive line because this group was already pretty talented. The Bills had three former first round picks with Star Lotulelei, Jerry Hughes and Ed Oliver but now the coaching staff has some impressive depth and versatility that will allow them to get creative with their defensive line.
