The Buffalo Bills have activated TE Lee Smith from the Reserve/COVID-19 list one week after he landed there thanks to an exposure in a team meeting. Last Saturday, Dawson Knox received positive results after sitting in close contact with Smith, Tommy Sweeney, and practice squad TE Nate Becker on the preceding Friday.
Interestingly, Sweeney and Becker remain on the COVID list. Neither were on the active roster last week, with Sweeney on the PUP list, so maybe it’s just procedural. They don’t need Sweeney or Becker for Sunday, so might as well keep them on the list.
