Brooklyn Nets F Kevin Durant out Friday vs. Cavaliers

Kevin Durant is sitting out Friday’s game between the Brooklyn Nets and Cleveland Cavaliers due to Achilles injury recovery per the NBA’s injury report. This shouldn’t come as a huge shock to fans. It is expected that the Nets are going to be careful with their big three during the regular season.

The Nets play in a back-to-back on Friday and Saturday. In all likelihood, Durant will sit Friday and Kyrie Irving will sit out on Saturday. James Harden seems like the likely choice to play in both games.

Durant, Irving, and Harden combined to play nearly 150 minutes in their double-overtime loss to the Cavs on Wednesday.
