KENT, Ohio — Saturday might have been rock bottom for Bowling Green, but Falcons coach Scot Loeffler has not lost faith that BG will turn itself around in time.
Kent State went 7-32 in Mid-American Conference games from 2014-18, but it was hard to tell against Bowling Green. The Golden Flashes humiliated the Falcons 62-20, set a program record with 750 yards of total offense, and earned their biggest win against BG since 1935.
Even for a Bowling Green program in the midst of rebuilding, losing by six touchdowns to a MAC peer was jarring.
