Bowling Green faces #FalconFast by another name

BOWLING GREEN — Nico Lautanen’s official welcome to Division I football was an unforgettable moment.

Or, more accurately, a month full of them.

In 2015, the Bowling Green defensive tackle arrived on campus to find the Falcons had one of the top offenses in all of college football, former coach Dino Baber’s version of the veer-and-shoot which earned the Twitter hashtag #FalconFast.

The Falcons, who went on to win the Mid-American Conference that season, did everything at 100 mph, and defensive linemen — especially the younger ones — had never seen anything like it before facing the offense every day during training camp.
