ATHENS, Ohio — Not a whole lot changed from the end of nonleague play to the start of the Mid-American Conference schedule for Bowling Green State University’s football team.
That left head coach Eddie George and his squad discouraged after a second straight loss.
Recurring mistakes in the passing game put BGSU behind early, and although the Falcons pulled within one score in the fourth quarter, defending league champion Ohio finished strong to come away with a 35-20 victory in the MAC opener for both teams on Saturday at Peden Stadium.
“Clearly a disappointing loss here against a really good football team,” George said.
