Conventional wisdom says the Red Sox are going to make a strong offseason run at one of four players — Jose Abreu, J.D. Martinez, Eric Hosmer or Carlos Santana — and most believe the team will be able to snare one. In studying their production over the last three seasons, it’s clear any of them could immensely help the team. There are more similarities than differences.
