NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Notre Dame squeaked out a 1-0 win in the series opener over Boston College Friday evening at Melissa Cook Stadium. The Irish won their 17th straight game at home and 12th consecutive victory overall.
Notre Dame scored the game's only run in the first inning on a bases loaded walk as the first four batters reached base.
Boston College (13-30, 8-22 ACC) out-hit Notre Dame (29-12, 18-10 ACC) 5-3 for the game.
Junior pitcher Susannah Anderson pitched well in the tough-luck loss for Boston College.
