GREENSBORO, N.C. – Boston College junior second baseman Luke Gold (Ballston, N.Y.) was named to the All-ACC Baseball Second Team by the league's coaches as announced by the conference on Monday morning. It is the second such honor for Gold, who was the league's First Team third baseman a year ago.
This season he hit .308, tied for the team-high in hits at 62, with nine home runs, 38 runs scored and 37 driven in. Gold slugged .557 with 21 doubles; good for second most in the ACC. His 21 doubles are also tied for the fourth most in a single season at BC.
