Jayson Tatum looks to “continue to grow” in Year 4

Jayson Tatum is excited to be a Celtic.

There’s obviously 195 million reasons to be excited after Tatum signed his designated rookie extension last week, but the 22-year-old is also embracing the scope of being The Man in Boston. When asked about how he approaches that responsibility, he humbly responded, “continue to grow.”

It’s hard to argue that Tatum hasn’t grown in his short time in Boston. After two seasons serving as a secondary scorer next to veteran players like Kyrie Irving and Al Horford, he exploded in Year 3. Tatum averaged a cool 23 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists in 2019-2020 and pushed his regular season production to superstar heights in the Orlando bubble.
