Recap: Bruins drop to Lightning 3-2, will fall to at least third seed

The Boston Bruins found their offense too late and fell 3-2 to the Tampa Bay Lightning for their second loss of the round robin at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto.

With two losses, the Bruins can seed no higher than third.

Zdeno Chara and Charlie McAvoy were caught on an odd-man rush that led to the Lightning taking the lead at 7:33 of the first period. Ondrej Palat found Nikita Kucherov at Tuukka Rask’s paint where he tried to stuff a shot low on Rask.
