Three takeaways from recent developments in college sports:
Action: The Texas running game generates 106 yards on 39 carries between the White and Orange teams in Saturday's spring games.
Reaction: Coach Tom Herman took exception to a question focusing on an early fumble and two misfires at the goal line. Of course, that's not the biggest issue. The problem is Texas averaged 2.7 yards per carry (3.6 if you take away three sacks on Shane Buechele). With Tristian Houston (knee) out and Kyle Porter (ankle) limited to two carries, neither Toneil Carter (10 for 27) nor Daniel Young (3 for 17) did much to stake a claim running behind a makeshift offensive line.
