Leighton Vander Esch is one of the best defensive players in a defense heavy draft. When you look at the Ravens needs, inside linebacker should not be ignored. Speed at the linebacker position is hard to find and that’s what this linebacker from Boise State has. The Ravens could force the situation at wide receiver, but they don’t need to now that Michael Crabtree, John Brown and Willie Snead are Ravens. The tight ends would be a bit of a reach with the 16th pick and this draft is too important to reach on a player. In the end Vander Esch could give the Ravens the best linebacker duo of any 3-4 team.
