There are now 143 days remaining until Orioles Opening Day 2020. We are now in “give out awards” season for baseball. The Gold Gloves were announced last night, predictably with no Orioles winners. Tonight, the finalists (top 3 finishers, without saying the winner) for the various BBWAA-voted awards will be announced. This could be of interest to O’s fans because John Means should certainly be in the top 3 for American League Rookie of the Year.
The winner for Rookie of the Year will be announced in a week, with Manager of the Year, Cy Young, and MVP following in the days after that.
