SARASOTA, Fla. -- The Orioles' spring search for pitching took another big turn on Tuesday night, as the club has reached a four-year agreement with the best remaining free-agent arm, starter Alex Cobb, according to MLB Network insider Jon Heyman.

The club has not confirmed the agreement, but multiple sources told MLB.com that Baltimore is the likely destination for the right-hander, with the two sides deep in negotiations.

While it's believed that both three- and four-year deals have been discussed, the O's have been reluctant to hand out contracts longer than three years to free-agent starters since Ubaldo Jimenez's four-year pact.
