MUNCIE, Ind. — Central football fans won't be the least bit surprised about what their former quarterback did Saturday.
Trenton Hatfield, now a redshirt freshman at Illinois State, scored the game-winning touchdown for the white team in the Redbirds' Spring Game. He dropped back to pass after play action, avoided rushers and scrambled left for a 56-yard touchdown run. Hatfield's team won 14-7.

After taking a redshirt last season, Hatfield is one of four quarterbacks listed on Illinois State's roster. Senior Jake Kolbe returns for his second season as the starter.
