How a team manager turned his life around and then made a basket on Senior Night

MUNCIE, Ind. — The idea started at a team dinner before the Henry County Tournament. A couple players on the Blue River boys basketball team were joking around and told the team manager, Timmy Moore, that he should play on Senior Night.

Blue River head coach Brian Klein always drives Moore home, so once they got into the car, Moore asked, “Hey, can I really do that?"

Klein thought about it and responded, “Well, I’ll see what I can do.”

He looked on the schedule and found the opponent for Blue River’s Senior Night, Wes-Del. Klein called Wes-Del coach John McGlothin and explained the situation: “I told him how special of a young man (Moore) was, how it’s always been a goal of his to play, but he’s never been able to.
