For some reason, around 2 P.M. CT, former Auburn Tigers receiver Anthony Schwartz tweeted that the Iron Bowl got "a whole lot bigger," when the Alabama Crimson Tide take to Jordan-Hare Stadium for their regular season finale. For AU, it could be the end of the 2025 season altogether if they lose.
Schwartz had previously tweeted that the "Iron bowl actually matters so not paying attention to the agent games," but amended that by saying that he had lied and that "this game just got a whole lot bigger."
No clarity was provided on whether he meant the Egg Bowl, which had been going on still but was out of reach for the Mississippi State Bulldogs in a 38-19 loss to the Ole Miss Rebels, the latter of which is in the center of the College Football world because of Lane Kiffin's ongoing coaching sweepstakes, or the Iron Bowl.
