AUBURN, Ala. – With Opening Day of the 2018 season just 10 days away, junior pitcher Casey Mize picked up his fifth preseason All-American honor as he was named a member of the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Preseason Second Team.
Mize has already earned First Team All-American honors from Baseball America, D1 Baseball and Perfect Game/Rawlings. He was also named a Preseason Second Team All-American by Collegiate Baseball in December.
Mize is coming off a season in which he led Auburn with an 8-2 record, 2.04 ERA and 109 strikeouts despite missing three starts with an injury.
