Before Alex Golesh was formally announced as the new Auburn head football coach, the details of his contract were handed out to media members covering the press conference.

It is a six-year deal with Golesh earning $6.75 million in his first year on the Plains, with his salary increasing each year until it reaches $8 million in his sixth year.

Performance incentives included an extra $1.5 million for winning nine games, $2 million for winning 10 games and an extra $1 million for 11 and 12 wins, respectively.

An appearance in the SEC Championship Game earns Golesh an extra $150,000, while a win doubles that to $300,000.
