Atlanta United return home after their midweek triumph over Orlando City in the U.S. Open Cup to take on one of their biggest competitors for the top playoff seed in the Eastern conference. NYCFC has been a tough match-up for the Five Stripes through their first two years in the league with the two playing some intense games. They are 1-1-2 during the regular season against the Pigeons, but do have bragging rights after prevailing in the East semifinals last year on the way to winning MLS Cup.
