Atlanta United players relishing Decision Day matchup with Toronto FC

Atlanta United and Toronto FC will square off on Decision Day with quite a bit on the line even though both teams already have their playoff tickets punched.

Toronto will battle for a place in history as the highest point-winners in MLS history. Atlanta’s incentives, on the other hand, are a little more tangible, as their training schedule next week is still to be determined. By 6 p.m. Sunday, the Five Stripes could find themselves as high as second in the confrerence or as low as fith. The former would grant them a full week to recover and train before preparing for a home-and-away second-round tie, while the latter would see them hopping on a plane within a day or two to play in what Tata Martino has called “a cup final” with the season on the line.
