Dewayne Dedmon cleared to return to practice

After missing three games with right elbow pain, Dewayne Dedmon has been cleared to return to practice.

Dedmon underwent a non-surgical procedure to address the pain Feb. 27. After a blowout loss to the Grizzlies Monday, the Hawks are off Tuesday, so it looks like Dedmon will rejoin the team at practice Wednesday.

In an interview with 92.9 The Fan Tuesday morning, general manager Travis Schlenk said Dedmon got shots up Monday and the Hawks “fully expect him to be ready” Friday when playing the Wizards in D.C.

It’s likely Dedmon’s status won’t officially be upgraded until later in the week, once the Hawks see how he reacts to workouts and practicing with contact.
