It was a little surprising to see Dez Bryant getting cut so late in free agency, with the Dallas Cowboys taking a sizable cap hit to get rid of their one and only wide receiver. We loudly wondered if the Falcons might bite on a one-year deal, similar to the Dontari Poe test drive.
Bryant’s play has fallen off, in part due to injury and a disaster offense in 2017. There have been rumors that Bryant has lost his speed, and is not dedicated enough to his craft to make up for it by improving other parts of his game.
