Felix Hernandez met with reporters following Saturday’s spring debut for the Atlanta Braves. Hernandez didn’t allow a hit over two scoreless innings. He walked one and struck out two. Afterwards he talked about how good he is feeling physically and said it might be the best he has felt since 2016. He was pleased with his outing overall and said the ball felt good coming out of his hand.
Hernandez is competing for one of two vacancies in Atlanta’s starting rotation after the injury to Cole Hamels.
