Dale Murphy’s wait continues. The Modern Baseball Era Committee announced its voting results Sunday night at the Winter Meetings in Orlando Florida. The committee elected two former Detroit Tigers in shortstop Alan Trammell and pitcher Jack Morris.

Trammell and Morris are the first living players to be elected by a form of the Veterans committee since Bill Mazeroski in 2001.
Murphy needed to capture 12 of 16 votes to gain induction.
