The Atlanta Braves have reportedly avoided arbitration with pitchers Max Fried and A.J. Minter agreeing to a pair of one-year deals prior to Friday’s deadline. Teams had until 1 p.m. to negotiate or else exchange figures and head into arbitration.
The Athletic’s David O’Brien reports that Fried agreed to a one-year, $3.5 million deal while Minter signed a one-year, $1.3 million pact.
No word yet on whether Atlanta was able to find common ground with right-hander Mike Soroka and Dansby Swanson who were their other two players that are arbitration eligible.
