For most Atlanta Braves fans, it was discouraging to lose both Austin Riley and Dansby Swanson to injury. It was tough due to just how well the team was meshing together and how they were performing.
While Riley and Swanson were struggling a bit offensively before going down, they were still missed. Swanson was batting .194 over his last 10 games before being injured and Riley was just slightly under that mark with a .196 average. Swanson’s defense has been one of the things that have been missed the most.
However, Alex Anthopoulos and the Atlanta Braves front office were able to find suitable replacements for the holes in the lineup.
