Paul Merson has slammed Arsenal for sacking Gunnersaurus this week, amid Mesut Ozil's offer to cover the club mascot's wages until fans return to stadiums.
The Gunners made Jerry Quy, the man inside the large green dinosaur suit, redundant until fans can return to the side, as the UK Government keeps Premier League supporters away from stadiums due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Arsenal exile Ozil announced he would support Quy in this difficult scenario and former Gunners midfielder Merson believes the north London club have been embarrassed by their German midfielder.
