Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang 'is on the brink of signing new three-year Arsenal contract worth more than £250,000 a week' after holding positive talks over his future and being assured that Mikel Arteta WILL strengthen his squad this summer

Arsenal are reportedly close to agreeing a new three-year deal with captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

According to The Telegraph, the contract that Arsenal have offered Aubameyang would run until 2023, which would cover the final year of his current deal and extend it by a further two years.

The report states that Arsenal are drawing up the final contract proposal after positive talks during which verbal promises were made.

Aubameyang's new deal is set to be worth £250,000-a-week and will also include significant bonuses.
