JONESBORO, Ark. (12/9/15) – The New Orleans Bowl bound Arkansas State football team has placed a league-high 16 players, including five first-team selections, on the 2015 All-Sun Belt Conference Team, announced Wednesday by the league office.
The 2015 Sun Belt Conference Champions, Arkansas State saw 10 or more named all-conference for the sixth consecutive year and ninth time since the league’s inaugural football season in 2001. Made up of eight seniors, four juniors, three sophomores and one freshman, A-State’s 16 players earning the recognition are its most ever as a Sun Belt member and ties the Sun Belt Record that was set by North Texas in 2002.
