NORMAN, Okla. (5/15/18) – Arkansas State senior Tanner Napier carded a second-round 69 Tuesday at the NCAA Regional men’s golf tournament in Norman, Okla., giving him a combined 36-hole 144 total as he climbed from tied for 36th place to tied for 19th among the 75-player field.
The two-time All-Sun Belt Conference selection opened the three-day tournament yesterday with a first-round 75, but shot 3-under today to pull back to even par for the entire outing. In the process, he also closed within three strokes of the current individual leader playing for a chance to advance to the NCAA finals.
