NEW ORLEANS -- On the front desk at the Marriott, the team hotel for Arkansas State, sits a Red Wolves helmet.
Finally.
The Red Wolves earned a bid here for the New Orleans Bowl in 2005, but Hurricane Katrina moved the game to Lafayette. Two or three other times, they should have been invited but Louisiana-Lafayette got them moved to Mobile, Ala.
The Ragin' Cajuns brought about 35,000 fans to the bowl each year.
"Hard to argue with the logic; it made money for the Sun Belt and the bowl," ASU Athletic Director Terry Mohajir said.
