JONESBORO, Ark. (7/25/18) – Arkansas State’s Justin Clifton has added another watch list to his preseason accolades, this time being named to the Bronko Nagurski Trophy Watch List.
Clifton, who was also named to the Thorpe Award Watch List, is just one of 17 NCAA FBS players in the past decade (2010-17) to compile career numbers that feature 179 tackles, 18 tackles for loss and 19 pass break-ups. He is also one of just three in the nation to compile those numbers over the last three seasons.
He ended the 2017 ranked 32nd in the nation is passes defended and registered at least a half tackle for loss in six of the Red Wolves’ 12 games.
