ASU scorches nets, UCA in second half

Anthony Livingston scored 22 points on 7-of-12 shooting as Arkansas State beat Central Arkansas 77-67 on Tuesday night in front of an announced crowd of 1,040 at the Convocation Center in Jonesboro.

The Red Wolves (4-7), who trailed 31-30 at halftime, shot 58.3 percent (14 of 24) in the second half.

Frederic Dure and Donte Thomas each had 14 points for ASU, while Devin Carter had 13 points. Thomas also had a team-high 10 rebounds.

ASU outscored UCA 8-0 to take a 47-38 lead. UCA cut the lead to 50-45 with 10:47 left, but Carter's three-pointer stretched the Red Wolves' advantage to 53-45 at the 10:04 mark.
