SAN MARCOS, Texas (4/6/18) – The Arkansas State women’s tennis team notched its first Sun Belt Conference win of the season with a 4-3 victory over Louisiana Friday afternoon at the Bobcat Tennis Courts on the campus of Texas State University.
The Red Wolves set the tone early with aggressive play in the doubles’ match that resulted in wins on courts one and two to give A-State an early edge in the match. Shannon O’Brien and Shelby King helped swing the momentum in their favor with a 6-4 win on court two over Floriane Picaut and Dana Radovanovic, while Anita Detlava and Berta Masdevall Masip clinched the points with a 7-5 triumph over Elena Sava and Abby Johnson.
