A-State Strikes Early, Alberius Tames Jaguars in Series-Clinching Win

MOBILE, Ala (4/28/18) – The Arkansas State baseball team scored six runs in the first four innings and Nate Alberius was able to limit the South Alabama offense to three runs as the Red Wolves won 6-3 Saturday night at Stanky Field to clinch its first series victory over the Jaguars since 2014.

Alberius improved to 5-2 on the year and claimed his team-high eighth quality start of the season after tossing 8.1 innings and allowing three runs on five hits with two strikeouts against three walks. Bo Ritter recorded the final two outs of the contest after Alberius tossed 124 pitches.
