HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE, Ark. (10/28/18) – The Arkansas State women’s golf team began play Sunday at the Little Rock Golf Classic, shooting a first-round 318 at the Diamante Country Club to put it in 14th place among 16 teams.
The Red Wolves are three strokes behind 13th-place Little Rock and within 10 of Western Kentucky, which stands 10th. UTEP and South Alabama both shot a 297 to end the first 18 holes as co-leaders.
The Red Wolves were led by Beth Ann Compton, who carded a 77 to place her tied for 32nd. Also in the lineup counting towards A-State’s team score, Aracelly Jimenez Rios is tied for 48th place with a 79, Grayson Gladden is tied for 59th with an 80 and Oliva Schmidt and Kiley Rodrigues are tied for 80th with an 82.
