What Petrino Left Unsaid About MSU Call Arkansas Saw Fit to Take Up Flagpole

Arkansas’ collapse against Mississippi State on Saturday came amid a barrage of flags.

Nothing was too out of the ordinary until midway through the third quarter when CJ Brown was penalized for leaving the bench during a scuffle after a two-point conversion that put the Razorbacks up 28-14. That began what turned out to be an 18-penalty, 193-yard avalanche.

Interim coach Bobby Petrino got an unsportsmanlike conduct flag of his own for chewing out an official moments later, moving the kickoff back to the 10-yard line. The Bulldogs were already going to get great field position, but a late hit by Maddox Lassiter on the return allowed them to start in Arkansas territory.
