FAYETTEVILLE — On the SEC coaches weekly teleconference Wednesday, Arkansas interim coach Bobby Petrino shared an update on quarterback Taylen Green.
Green left the field with training staff in the final minute of the Razorbacks' 38-35 loss to Mississippi State on Saturday after he was brought down by the shoulder pads on a game-sealing sack. He lay facedown on the turf before trainers reached him and helped him up. He walked off the field under his own power.
After the game, Petrino said it "didn't look good. It was an ugly-looking play."
On Wednesday, he was more optimistic about Green's status.
