FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas will begin its 2026 season ranked No. 8 in the ESPN/USA Softball poll, which was announced Tuesday morning.
Twelve teams from the SEC are ranked in the poll: Texas (T1), Oklahoma (3), Tennessee (4), Florida (6), Arkansas (8), Texas A&M (11), LSU (13), South Carolina (14), Georgia (15), Alabama (16), Ole Miss (22) and Mississippi State (24). Auburn and Missouri are also receiving votes.
The Razorbacks begin the season five spots higher than they finished in 2025, when they ended No. 13 in the poll.
Arkansas is scheduled to open its season with a matchup against Virginia on Feb.
