Former Arizona LB Tony Fields II commits to West Virginia

The likelihood of a 2020 college football season seems to be decreasing by the hour, but Tony Fields II does know where he’d like to play his final year. And it just so happens to be where a former teammate and two of his former assistant coaches have ended up.

The former Arizona Wildcats linebacker, who left the program in mid-July, announced on Twitter Monday he’s committed to play for the West Virginia Mountaineers. As a graduate transfer he will be eligible immediately.

Minnesota and Texas were the other finalists among schools that reached out for the 6-foot-1, 220-pound Fields, who started all 37 games he played at Arizona from 2017-19.
