Arizona Softball Knocks off Cal En Route to the NCAA Regionals

The Arizona Softball team won two out of three games against the Cal Golden Bears during the final weekend of Pac-12 play, earning them a spot in the NCAA tournament for the 30th consecutive year.

Other than a couple of bad innings early in game two on Friday, the Wildcats said goodbye to the Hillenbrand Stadium fans in typical Arizona fashion, with a combination of stellar pitching and powerful offense.

Arizona run-ruled Cal behind Danielle O’Toole’s pitching by scores of 8-0 on Thursday and 11-2 on Saturday. For the second week in a row, O’Toole won Pac-12 Pitcher of the Week honors.
